Barrel instrumentation plant at CERN

Goal: Optical instrumentation of 65 barrel modules

Institutions:Bucharest, CERN, Dubna, Lisbon, Pisa, Prague, Protvino, Yerevan

Instrumentation site: CERN buildg 867 (J.Chapuis Area in Prevessin)

Schedule of operations:Starting in August 1999 and ending in July 2002 (3 years)

There will be 8 periods of 18 weeks (16 of operations + 2 of setup) (msproj file, pdf)

In each period of 18 weeks.

8 barrel modules will be instrumented and calibrated (msproject file, pdf)

Assembly sequence over 2 barrel modules (msproject file, pdf)

Man Power: A group of technicians, engineers, physicists will instrument, qualify and calibrate the modules.
The Shift list for the entire period of the instrumentation is given.

Storage:In Buildgs 180 , 175 and 185 in CERN Meyrin

Quality Control: There are various QC steps during instrumentation of the barrel modules.

Production monitor: A task data sheet for each module has to be filled during instrumentationnd an overall Production monitor page are used.
