Characteristics: The velcro straps are used to keep the WLS fibres in the bundle without moving, during the fibre gluing and are removed after the glue dries.
The velcro straps available in the market do not have the good shape, consequently we buy rolls and cut then in the labs. The tool to cut the straps is shown here.

Quantity: 500 straps spares, assuming that the straps can be opened and re-used.

Barrel instrumentation site: 300 straps (90 bundles x 2 modules + x % spares)
Barcelona instrumentation site: 100 straps (32 bundles x 2 modules + x % spares)
US Barcelona instrumentation site: 100 straps (32 bundles x 4 modules + x % spares)

Procurement: Cern will cut all the velcro straps and will send them to all the instrumentation sites.
